"A rare cosmic event, like Haley's Comet passing over Earth- today is the day when everything is done. The hay is bailed, the chicks are checked, the cows are slick, the grass is mowed, the flowers are watered, the garden is picked, the canning is done for winter, the cupboards are cleaned and full, the laundry is cleaned and put away, the windows are fingerprint free, the floor is clean enough to eat off of and the cat is curled up neatly on the edge of the bed. Surely the Mayans predicted this centuries ago. Too bad it will only last long enough for me to write it down."
